Starcom Worldwide Senior Associate interview questions

The actual interviews with the team were great, the HR representative was kind and responsive just very disappointed in their operations. Had made it to 4 rounds of interviews (4th interviewer didn't show up to scheduled time and had to reschedule for later), and was told I'd hear next steps early the following week. Then HR let me know they were considering an internal hire now, so assumed the job was going to them, and assumed correctly. Then 2 weeks or so later, the same HR manager called and let me know that they've opened the position back up since they have need for another Senior Associate. Great! Then says at this point "we'll either have another interview for you or draft up that offer later." Next day, deja vu, HR calls and says its promotion time and the team is again considering internal members for the role and thanks me for my time. A month of interviews, emails, prep, 5+ calls with HR - just for the job to be taken TWICE by an internal hire. Not surprised, not mad, just disappointed.
