One of our primary services will be the provision of free cataract surgeries.
By providing these surgeries, we aim to alleviate the heavy eye healthcare cost burden too often place on those least able to bear it. It is our heartfelt endeavour to aid approximately 50,000 -1,00,000 surgeries annually, providing them with a chance to see the world more clearly and live a fuller life.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and committed Manager of Quality Management Systems to establish and oversee the Quality Assurance Department within the organisation. Key objectives include fostering an environment conducive to the implementation of a Quality Improvement Program, where physicians and staff adhere to high-quality patient care standards. The focus will be on implementing the most efficient and effective methods to prioritise quality patient care standards.
Responsibilities
· Formulate strategies for quality improvement and develop plans for continuous enhancement of the quality improvement program.
· Develop and implement a hospital quality manual, along with procedures, standards, and specifications.
· Create a variety of quality assurance documents, formats, registers, checklists, files, and recording systems necessary for internal and external reviews.
· Develop and enforce safety standards to ensure the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff across the hospital premises.
· Responsible for leading the organisation in quality improvement initiatives, overseeing the accreditation process, and executing these plans through strategic implementation
· Collaborate with different functional departments throughout the hospital to execute quality assurance initiatives.
· Continuously improve quality by regularly training medical, paramedical, and administrative staff in patient care management to enhance patient satisfaction levels.
· Develop quality indicators, set standards for various processes, design monitoring procedures, analyse data, and implement measures to enhance the quality of care at all levels of the hospital. Performance will be evaluated against benchmarks.
· Initiate quality assurance projects by engaging with accreditation bodies like the Quality Council of India (QCI) and National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), along with relevant internal and external stakeholders, to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facilitate the accreditation process.
· Coordinate with hospital-wide committees and department heads to gather their input and address concerns regarding quality assurance, discussing them in weekly meetings.
Should Possess
· Understanding of patient care management, flow and well familiar with Quality Management tools, indicators and familiar with statistical tools.
· Strong team player capabilities and have the skills to effectively guide and mentor a team.
· Extensive expertise in Hospital operations, legal matters, and compliance.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Preferred Qualifications and Experience: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, preferably with a specialisation in Hospital Management, and a minimum of 5 years of practical experience working in an eye hospital.
