Nutrifresh Farms is a fast-growing agri-tech and food processing company operating on a farm-to-fork model, engaged in hydroponic farming, food processing, retail, institutional supply, and allied business operations. The company is focused on building scalable, compliant, and governance-driven operations across agriculture, food, and consumer businesses.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Legal Associate with 2–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in handling general corporate matters, labour law compliances, and legal documentation. The role requires strong drafting capabilities, compliance management skills, coordination with external counsels and government authorities, and the ability to support operational legal requirements across multiple business verticals.
Preference will be given to candidates having prior experience working with companies in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, agri-tech, infrastructure, or startup ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
General Corporate & Commercial
- Draft, review, draft and manage commercial agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, lease agreements, procurement contracts, and business-related documentation.
- Support corporate governance and Companies Act compliances.
- Maintain legal records, contracts repository, licenses, and statutory documentation.
- Assist in legal due diligence, investment documentation, fundraising and transaction support where required.
- Support management in legal risk assessment and contract structuring.
- Handle notices, replies, and routine legal correspondence.
- Coordination with intellectual property counsels for filings
Labour Law & Compliance
- Manage and monitor labour law compliances including:
- Shops & Establishment Act
- Contract Labour compliances
- Factory-related labour compliances
- PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, and allied regulations
- Coordinate with HR and operations teams for employee documentation and compliance processes.
- Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of statutory registrations and licenses.
Regulatory & Operational Support
- Liaise with government departments and regulatory authorities where required.
- Track changes in applicable laws and advise internal stakeholders on compliance implications.
- Assist in implementation of internal legal and compliance SOPs.
- Support documentation and compliance requirements related to operational expansion projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
- LL.B. from a recognized university.
- 2–3 years PQE in corporate legal and labour law matters.
- Prior experience with law firms or in-house legal teams preferred.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of Companies Act, labour laws, and commercial contracts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal documentation management.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to CAPEX-related documentation, infrastructure agreements, or project documentation will be an added advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, food processing, agri-business, or startup environments preferred.
- Practical and solution-oriented approach to legal problem-solving.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
