Pros
Surprisingly Efficient and Seamless Recruitment Procedure
Cons
I graduated in 2023 from a tier 2 college, ranking among the top 2 percentile in the campus. BGSW conducted early recruitment in August 2022, ahead of other companies, and during the Pre-Placement Talk, they assured both internship and Full-Time Employment (FTE) opportunities. The interview process was surprisingly smooth, but later, long after other companies had completed their hiring processes, BGSW informed us that internships would not be offered, and they planned to expedite the onboarding process. Despite organizing regular 30-minute sessions for 400-500 new hires, the company consistently conveyed that onboarding would not happen anytime soon. It's been over 15 months since the hiring process, and none of the 2023 graduates from my university have been onboarded. When inquired about the delay, the management attributed it to "Covid," expressing uncertainty about completing onboarding even by July 2024. Upon persistent questioning, they diplomatically stated that "The entire hiring process is not a guarantee of a job; it's just a procedure to determine eligibility." As a final-year student, I was unaware of this, and like many other colleges in India, I wasn't allowed to apply for subsequent companies. Despite possessing all the necessary skills as a top 2 percent graduate, I find myself impacted by someone else's incompetence to accurately assess the actual business need for freshers, exacerbated by the current economic recession. Ironically, BGSW has revisited the campus to hire 2024 graduate for the same role.
