A new milestone in sustainable packaging. Henkel has now launched almost 700 million bottles made entirely of recycled plastics for Laundry & Home Care products in Europe. The recycled material comes – amongst other places – from Henkel’s partnership with the Plastic Bank. It has an almost 80 percent lower CO2 footprint compared to virgin plastic and contributes to a circular economy.
Standing up for sustainability. In the 2021 edition of the ‘Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World’, Henkel ranked 3rd among personal product companies and 88th in the overall assessment of more than 8,000 major global corporations. This shows once again how firmly sustainability has become anchored within Henkel's corporate culture.
Investing in each other. The #LearnForGood campaign rewards Henkel employees for digital upskilling. Each time they complete a self-development course, they’re awarded points. Once 15,000 points are reached, a special donation will be made to the “Teach for All” network, which provides children with vital digital education resources.

This latest award is especially significant due to the challenging circumstances faced over the past year.
Taking charge in challenging times. Shortly after becoming our CEO, Carsten Knobel was faced with the unprecedented challenge of steering Henkel safely through a global pandemic.
