Why is the market growing again?
Seems somewhat fitting to ask in this bowl. Has anybody experienced Chapter 13 Bankruptcy? I’m exploring the option to get a fresh restart on bills that got the better of me but am scared to actually do it. I know I’m in too deep and want to do this before I actually do get behind on bills. Any real advice from someone that had to do it? I’m fully recognizing this is my own fault and I’m already embarrassed about it, so keep judgment to a minimum even though I’m judging myself.
Advice needed. My husband is 10yrs older he's about to retire early, he wants me to sign and agree to not take any portion of his retirement instead he will purchase a whole life policy and I will be the beneficiary. What do you recommend that I do....accept the default 50% 50% plan which deducts $700 per month from my husband but gives me 50% monthly payment for life, if he dies or allow him to get his entire benefit payments but I will get nothing from his pension upon his death? Thank you
I just reached my first 100k in stocks. Heard the next 100 gets easier. Was it similar story for you when you hit the first 100k? Did you change anything from your investing strategy once you got to that milestone?
Best long-term investment for $100/month? (Already have 401k) IT worker, wife is a nurse, one kid. Combined income ~$190K. Homeowners, 2 years into a 5.9% mortgage. Already contributing to my company 401k. Looking to invest $100/month recurring for the long term — not picking stocks, just something steady with solid returns and lower risk. Roth IRA index fund? 529? Extra mortgage payments? I-Bonds? What would you recommend? Thanks!
What are some reasonably healthy inexpensive meals you like to make at home? We are not very creative when it comes to cooking and have been doing the AI route for ideas/menu generation but curious how others handle and if there are any favorites we should try.
There are no rules, we will never know
Companies are showing increased profits by cutting employees with the ambition of relying on AI. This feels inflated and the market will correct itself.
I’ve seen few articles recently (I think one was in WSJ) that companies are spending an enormous amount on AI to the point that it’s exceeding their cost for employees
Because earnings have been rising.
More people buying than selling.
You are wrong and you don't know market plumbing. I can sell shares short today. I had no shares. My broker has 1 day to find someone to lend me these share (look up t+3 rule ans how it is now t+1). So for up to 2 days ( say I sold short at 930am om day 1) there can be market float + whatever shares I sold. I defacto created shares that didn't exist and are in excess of float. Those shares will eventually come from somewhere, but for up to 2 days, artificial shares exist in the real world. Here is another example to show you more buyers than sellers cause increase in prices- short squeezes. Seriously, stop doubling down. Just say you learned something new and move on.

No one knows for sure.
Because market reductions cause people to ask why they are reducing.
The market works in mysterious ways.
