Anyone have some really good hardcore tips for a digital detox? It’s an endless loop of knowing that social media and the internet is draining but I still do mindless scrolling to avoid facing reality.

I use a few of the “app-blocking” apps. The main one I set up for Facebook is called ClearSpace. I stick to the free versions and features, so I actually use a few because they can overlap for more effective blocking. They add just enough friction to opening social media that I have started to avoid the big time sucking ones (instead I check Fishbowl more often - lol)
There’s a product on the market called “Brick” that may help. FSA/HSA eligible too!
Put the phone in a different room. Find a “replacement activity” that requires being phone-free, like exercising, going to the movies or shows, or cooking. The goal is to stop resisting the urge, which is too draining. Take the temptation off the table entirely.
Following! Mine got so bad at one point I almost left my job, opened a coffeeshop with this focus in mind. I have a whole business plan for it and everything hahahaha. Ya girl is constantly overstemmied lol
When I notice myself mindlessly scrolling through content, I just ask myself what practical decisions I would change by watching more of this. That usually grounds me quickly.
