The interview process consisted of three rounds and initially appeared professional and positive:
1. Initial call with a recruiter
2. Call with the UK hiring manager, including a product presentation
3. Final interview with the EMEA Head of Product
All interactions were polite, and the process progressed smoothly. After the third and final interview, I was informed to expect feedback by a specific date the following week, as the Head of Product was traveling. When no update arrived by the promised date, I followed up with my HR contact. Within an hour, they responded:
- Positive verbal feedback had been received
- An offer was being prepared
- New elements were being added to the offer/contract
- They requested until a date the following week for a final update
- A 15-minute Google Meet would be scheduled to discuss details
What Happened Next: After this email communication, all contact ceased. Despite multiple follow-ups via email, including copying the hiring manager and sending LinkedIn connection requests to all involved parties, I received no response.
This ghosting outcome was particularly disappointing for several reasons.
- The process required a significant investment of time and effort including a three-round interview process and a detailed presentation.
- Verbal confirmation was provided that an offer was being prepared.
- The complete lack of professionalism in failing to respond to follow-ups.
I intend to document this experience in the ghosting database, as others have reported similar behavior from Method around the same time on glassdoor.
An explanation from Method regarding this situation would be appreciated.
Despite an initially positive process, my experience with Method ultimately stands out as one of the most unprofessional recruitment experiences I have encountered.
