I was there for a bit over 4 years when my manager was "moved" to another role. Our new manager left things as they were for several months, but then several of us get pulled in for "performance" discussions. If anything we were all doing more than we had ever done in the past and were keeping up reasonably. Less than 30 days later several of us were told our services were no longer required, without any follow-up on the "performance" discussion. No severance, and that was that.
