Pros

Seeing an impact of the work that's done, culture of the organization, opportunities to explore and learn new skill sets, Flexibility to try new ideas, non-hierarchical communication This is a great organization - don't go by the negative reviews posted - those are just the disgruntled employees who weren't promoted (for obvious reasons),

Cons

Performance is expected - so be ready to roll up your sleeves - learn quickly. The work is intense, as it is a lean team - so not a good place for those who would like to pack up bags at 5pm. Could do better with benefits - there's not much that's offered as compared to the bigger brands.

Pros

1. Benefit for taking an IPhone when you join. This is to be noted that they shall take back the amount on pro rata basis in case you leave the company before 3 years 2. This can also be a con but the job involves alot of travelling for no real reason or I would say useless reasons. They’ll plan a get together event in a random place where day starts at 5 am and goes on till 11 pm. Personal space isn’t respected here. 3. Decent brand name in CI Industry

Cons

1. High office politics. People say different things but everyone is judged. I, myself felt insulted about my family background and income level multiple times by the top management. You need to carry high value brands with you else you’ll be judged. Eg: Samsonite Bags, Expensive wear, Sedan Cars & much more. Do this, no one will care about your work. 2. No work life balance. People disturb you at 11 pm and even during weekends. You’ll never be told to work post 6:30 but you’ll daily be given tasks at 7 pm. In short, You don’t have a life when you work at Cochlear 3. Mental torture. This job will kill you mentally. Company doesn’t really care 4. Most of your managers will be useless and won’t know how business works so they themselves won’t have a plan for you to shape up for your growth at this company 5. They’ll keep asking for feedback but employees here never give management the real feedback due to the high office politics 6. Good work isn’t rewarded. Best performing people at Cochlear have either left or are planning to leave Cochlear. You can check some profiles on Linkedin and even get in touch with the ones who left to understand things better. Letting you know, all poor reviews on Glassdoor scream the truth. The ones with a 5 star have just been posted by the team to cover the truth & get some job applications 7. Pathetic tax management for employees. No tax saving options. Worst part they aren’t even taking steps to improve it. 8. Don’t join even for the learning opportunities. People here aren’t so learned, how will they help you shape your career. 9. You won’t feel happy working at this place and no amount of salary can match this. So be sure before you even apply at such a company. They’ll offer a good pay but its a bad decision not just for your career growth but even for your mental peace & job satisfaction.

Pros

-Best in class products -Competent people to work with -Fair compensation

Cons

-Too much attrition, hence always through change -Can't challenge the status quo -Seems like a handful of long timers only get valued
