Pros
You get to build your network with people from all over the globe, if you get on the right project you can learn a ton; and if you're lucky, you get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.
Cons
Minor complaints: You're expected to do a lot of "extra-curriculars" here—getting involved in crafts, having a plus-one in addition to your main project, helping sell deals even if you're not in sales. In line with this, you really have to look for "culture" here if you're anywhere that isn't a massive city (NY, Chicago, LA, etc.). One other thing is be prepared to look for your own project at Accenture. The work pipeline always seems to be small, so you'll have to use your network to find a project to be on. Major complaints: I've been lucky enough to be staffed on good projects since I started, but job security can be rough, as layoffs have been fairly common over the last four years—especially if you can't upskill in AI. Additionally, pay sucks. I was hired in around the average for my position and I haven't had a pay raise in four years, something I've found to be commonplace with all of my peers at Accenture. Leadership loves to talk about all the amazing work they're doing and bringing in, yet there's seemingly never any money to get passed off to their employees outside of a $5k bonus (closer to $2.5k after taxes). Finally, if you're looking to get promoted, good luck—the backlog of those of us waiting is a mile long. Even the highest performers here have been waiting for years for a promotion.
