      Good People, Company in Transition - Senior Manager Aptiv Employee Review

      Pros

      Company culture at the working level is good. People are willing to help and collaborate in a team environment. Work is interesting. Salary and benefits are competitive. Office in Troy recently redesigned. Lots of open space, natural light, etc.

      Cons

      Company is in a state of transition. Frequent layoffs and budget cuts which force constant changing of goals and direction at the working level. No clear direction from upper management as to what Aptiv wants to be when it grows up. Off-shoring most of their sw development and engineering work. Trying to get people back in the office full time, which is fine, but they won't just come out with a mandate, very passive aggressive statements which leads to confusion and resentment.

      Pros

      I was placed into high impact roles where I was exposed to various aspects of supply chain. I was able to find what exactly I wanted to focus my career on. I was lucky to get some great managers who were invested in my growth. Company/office puts on alot of small events with food/activities.

      Cons

      The program is advertised to move you from location to location every year. That was not the case with the majority of people in the program.
