Pros

- Depending on the business unit you work in, you could be looking at a good amount of stock. - No company pays as much as Broadcom (at least that is what you will hear all the time from everyone in management) - Good health insurance - You get to work with some excellent people, each at the top of their game.

Cons

- Zero job stability. You could be the top employee today, yet not have a job tomorrow. - Extremely lean organization, sometimes that is an advantage, sometimes it isn't. - How much you like your job ? It really depends on your business unit and your manager + Sr Mgr and VP. - There is no proper HR function. There is just 1 HRBP for an entire site, no different HR for different BUs. In India, 1 HR each for the 3 major sites in India that's it. Gather what you will for how that works. - Their exit process, especially when you are laid off is the worst. They will make you hurriedly (1 day) agree to their terms or forfeit severance and other benefits. - During acquisitions when they close sites, they might force you to move to a different location or exit the company. - You only have a job in Broadcom as long as you are either 'relevant' or you are bringing money to the company. And lots of people rework or do work that is totally unnecessary just to stay 'relevant.'
