Worked in the Quality Engineering practice at EY's SDC in Charlotte. Avoid this place if you value your career. The leadership within the SDC is deeply political and self-serving. Decisions are driven by favoritism rather than merit. Employees are routinely threatened rather than supported, and raising concerns gets you sidelined or quietly pushed out. The QE practice lead has a toxic leadership style and shows little to no regard for employee well-being. Careers have been derailed under this management approach, and there is zero accountability from above. The SDC's Managing Director, who oversees the Quality Engineering practice, has allowed this dysfunction to persist without correction. The culture of politics and intimidation has gone unchecked at the highest level of SDC leadership. Compensation is well below market rate, and despite repeated promises, hikes and promotions simply don't happen - or go to whoever is politically connected. Hard work is invisible here. Cons: Leadership, compensation, culture, growth, integrity — all broken.
