Pros

I must acknowledge that the company did have some positive aspects that were worth mentioning. Despite my negative experience with the company's logistics department, there were several pros that I appreciated during my time at Ecolab. Firstly, the company did provide a decent work-life balance. They offered a flexible schedule, which allowed employees to adjust their work hours to fit their personal needs. This was especially useful for employees who had families or other commitments outside of work. Additionally, while the raises were not significant, Ecolab did offer small raises on an annual basis, which was better than nothing. It was a small gesture that showed that the company valued its employees and their contributions. The on-site gym was another perk that I appreciated. It allowed employees to stay fit and healthy without having to leave the office, which saved time and money. The gym was dated but had the basic equipment. Furthermore, Ecolab also offered a hybrid schedule, which allowed employees to work from home part-time. This was a significant benefit, especially during the pandemic, as it allowed employees to stay safe while still being productive. However, one downside to working at Ecolab was the favoritism that existed within the company. It was evident that some employees were given preferential treatment, which created a sense of inequality and mistrust among other employees. The also keep a fast track list of personal who all seem to get opportunity every two years. Overall, while my experience at Ecolab was not entirely positive, the company did offer several benefits that were worth acknowledging. The decent work-life balance, small raises, on-site gym, and hybrid schedule were all perks that made my time at Ecolab

Cons

There are no bonuses if you don't have a manager title! They hide this from all employees. I must say that my experience with the company's logistics department was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The poor management, antiquated tools, and being cheap with the company's money were evident from day one. The company's lack of investment in its employees was glaring, and it was evident that we were nothing more than a number on a spreadsheet to them. The logistics department was plagued with outdated technologies that made our job more complicated and time-consuming than it should have been. Despite several requests for upgrades, the management continued to overlook our concerns, showing no interest in improving our working conditions. It was evident that the management was more interested in saving a few pennies than investing in the department's future. Despite being a profitable company, they refused to spend money on tools and technologies that would have helped us do our job better and more efficiently. To add insult to injury, a new VP was hired who, instead of addressing the issues, decided to hire 15+ new people right into the job. These new hires were given little to no training and were expected to learn on the job. After a year or so, the same VP laid off several employees, citing budget cuts (they all were over 50). It was a shocking and distressing experience, and I couldn't help but wonder how someone in such a high position could be so callous and unprofessional. Overall, my experience with Ecolab was nothing short of disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for this company, especially in the logistics department. The lack of investment in modern tools and technologies, combined with poor management, made it a challenging and frustrating workplace, ultimately leading to my layoff.

Pros

Great management, interesting projects, and a very positive work environment. The team culture is strong, people are professional and respectful, and overall it feels like a great place to work. I really enjoy the type of work, the projects, and the way people collaborate with each other.

Cons

The main downside is that it can be difficult for contractors to transition into full-time roles. There seems to be a strong reliance on contract and offshore resources, so long-term internal opportunities may be limited depending on the business needs and hiring strategy.

Pros

The actual coworkers and team members are great. Everyone is super supportive and just trying to help each other out.

Cons

Management: There’s a huge disconnect between upper leadership and the people doing the day-to-day work. Goals and priorities change constantly with very little communication, and it often feels like micromanagement takes the place of actual guidance. Work-Life Balance: The workload is completely unsustainable. You’re expected to handle an overwhelming amount of work, but you aren't given the resources or staffing to actually get it done without burning out. Expecting people to constantly work over their hours has become the norm. Lack of Growth: Career progression is pretty much non-existent. Promises of promotions or career development are thrown around, but they rarely actually happen. There’s no clear pathway to move up, so it’s easy to feel stuck and stagnant.
