Pros

- Egis has been able to secure good projects in almost all domains due to the efforts of business unit heads - People try to be self-motivated (but don’t sustain for long due to bad management practices) - Decent office in Gurgaon

Cons

This is where the list get really long and the sole driving factor is bad management practices at senior level. This is likely to be fixed due to a recent audit - Select top managers preach about ethics but their own actions are questionable - Due to bad management practices at the top level several well performing managers have left the company - Resources are not provided at new site project offices. They are asked to generate cash flow first and get resources later (now how can someone produce work and then receive payment when the tools required to carry out the work such as computer are not provided?) - Too much focus on cash flow management and minimal focus on project management - Some of the previous company reviews have been fabricated (2-3 very positive reviews came up on almost the same day) to improve company image as it has been severely battered in the market - It has a European name but the company is run like a typical 'lala' company - Highly ambitious business outlook (company acquisitions, foreign projects etc.) is communicated to retain staff but in reality the company does not have resources to even commit to a long term bonus - Unnecessary pressure is given to project managers who are more focused on cash collection rather than project execution. A simple logic that good work results in cashflows does not seem to make sense to the top guy because who wants to invest in tools required to do the good work?

Pros

Lower and middle management does their best, but their efforts are generally limited completely by the corporate culture of profit over everything.

Cons

BLN used to be a small, family owned firm but now after several mergers and acquisitions, it's essentially a French-owned Blackrock type firm.
