      Nice team, but low salary and poor work culture - Product Manager Ford Motor Company Employee Review

      The immediate team I work with are nice.

      Cons

      Salary is low for the position. They say it is above average but the statistics are inflated because of people on pre 2012 contracts who get substantially more for the same role. If you joined post 2012 you get non of the benefits. 4 days a week in the office. The office is dated in most areas. No free coffee or any incentive to come in. Canteen food is very average. Office location in the middle of nowhere with no amenities near the office. General work culture has taken a real hit in recent years with lots of job cuts and no progression.

      Pros

      Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

      Cons

      Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
