Mid At Best: Ups and Downs Balance Out - Product Manager McCormick & Company Employee Review

Pros

Entry level positions usually go to interns. Networking is encouraged. Beautiful building with a cafeteria serving food to your order. Hybrid schedule. Opportunities for work travel

Cons

Pay could be better. Marketing run so cross functionals must listen to whatever marketing runs. Pushback will get you screwed. You have to play the politics and be good with the “in crowd”. Very little growth opportunities. A lot of POC employees were recently let go. With recent layoffs, work load has increased but not the pay. You have to work extremely hard just to get a 2% raise (an extra $50)

Pros

Lots of project opportunity for someone looking to get into manufacturing regardless of department. Benefits are good. Team is overall personable.

Cons

Dry promotions are exceedingly common. Management is disconnected from what actually occurs on the floor. Management lacks technical ability, which wastes precious time with feeble administrative tasks. Complacency is common.
