Pros
You get the opportunity to work with talented and intelligent people, and having the company on your CV is definitely a strong addition.
Cons
One of the biggest issues is the management in the Dublin team. The environment feels extremely stressful, mainly due to a micromanagement culture that does not align with Microsoft’s core values or leadership style. Unfortunately, support from management was lacking. Team members often felt uncomfortable speaking up, asking questions, or sharing new ideas because feedback was usually met with aggressive pushback. Over time, this created a culture where people stopped contributing openly out of fear or frustration. The team itself has strong potential, but the current environment has negatively impacted morale. I have never experienced this type of management in my career before. I decided to leave after a short period, and I was not the only one. Another colleague also left shortly after joining, and several former teammates have since reached out to me for referrals. My advice would be to avoid this specific team until leadership and management practices improve.
