After spending more than 2 plus years at Tata Elxsi, I can confidently say that this company survives more on politics and fake corporate branding than actual employee care or merit.
Ijoined the organisation believing the promises that were made during hiring growth opportunities, recognition, career progression, and a healthy work culture. Most of those promises turned out to be completely false. Despite working relentlessly across different time zones, often putting in 14+ hour workdays, none of the effort was properly recognized, compensated, or rewarded.
Performance means very little here compared to favoritism and manager pleasing. If you want to grow, your skills and hard work alone won't help internal politics and bootlicking matters far more. Management talks endlessly about professionalism and ethics while senior leaders themselves behave in ways that are disrespectful, arrogant, and sometimes outright inappropriate.
The hypocrisy inside the company is unbelievable.
Policies are only for presentations and branding. HR claims to support employees and encourages people to
"speak up," but the reality is very different. Complaints are either ignored, buried, or worse used against the employee who raised them.
The company loves saying, "We are Tata, we don't fire people." The truth is they create such a toxic environment that employees are mentally exhausted, pushed toward burnout, and indirectly forced to resign, employee well-being are just buzzwords here.
