Pros
The pay is fair. Monday-Friday, with weekends and major holidays off (for this role). If you have a helpful and fun team, it makes the time at work all the more enjoyable. You get to use basic hand tools and some power tools. At the end of the day or week, after completing a bigger project or reset, you'll feel accomplished and proud that YOU did that and YOU made it happen! Overall, the rest of the store generally respects the department, as they know the work we do isn't easy. Typically, managers, supervisors, and department heads appreciate you and what you bring to the table.
Cons
The job can be physically demanding at times, You'll get dirty. Typically, any project your assigned will include a time frame for completion; however, at times you aren't given enough time to complete the task or project. Supervisors are generally understanding about this. I believe the time frames come from corporate (however, I may be mistaken).
