Pros

Free food Free cab Fitness Reimbursement People who know to show off the work will shine here. Even if you do not do the task you will make the sde2 or sde3 do your task, you will still show off the task/feature is completed by you. This is the heaven for you. Manager will show you as trophy resource.

Cons

5 days Office. Full of office politics. No info on the work to be shared, One person is tagged the hero. If he comes the work will be done , even if you give the same suggestion it wnt be taken. Only Hero suggestion will be the best option Manager is a bully , who would trust every word of the Hero. Here hero is also a bully . He wnt share the full task, if you do not ask right questions you are bound to be caught in front of the whole team and embarrassed by Hero. So he can become the Hero and you become the zero. Hero will mouth bad things about you to manager. manager will do 1-1 to discuss only the bad things about you. Nowadays there is a firing mode as well for anyone who gets opportunity rating. Even after working till 3 am there are no good things to say here

Pros

- Great individual engineers - New campus is beautiful - A lot of internal knowledge and tools - Offers Coursera courses for learning - The 10% discount card is nice

Cons

- Work-life balance is quite bad, with many teams requiring pager rotations and managers pinging after-hours - Upper management is a carousel of people putting in their two years of experience before moving to another company for a fat signing bonus - Lower management pushes you to use AI for 1/3+ of your work to suck as much "productivity" out of you as possible - There's really no Walmart culture. Over my tenure I saw upper management claim we would remember Mr Sam and never become Amazon, and ten years later we were being run by ex-Amazon VPs and directors. - Layoff waves are swift and without mercy - Shutdown many of their diversity programs and rarely put out company-wide messages with any sort of spine
