Pros
Some genuinely brilliant and hardworking people still left in the business.
Cons
The business feels completely drained of energy and direction. Years of bad decision making, unrealistic growth expectations and constant pressure from private equity have created a culture of fear, cost cutting and short-term thinking. Layoffs have become so normalised that people barely react anymore. Teams are understaffed, workloads keep increasing, and experienced people continue to leave while leadership acts surprised about collapsing morale. Communication from senior management is painfully poor and usually arrives far too late, if at all. There is also a growing “us vs them” culture between leadership and employees. Staff are expected to go above and beyond despite weak pay rises, reduced support and zero meaningful recognition for strong work. The people at the top talk endlessly about culture while actively destroying it.
