Pros
The company culture was strongly geared toward improving customer service, with a clear focus on booking and completing mobile mechanic service appointments. Wrench aimed to provide a seamless customer experience, which aligned with its core mission.
Cons
Frequent restructuring of roles and titles created confusion about responsibilities, leaving many employees uncertain about their roles. Cost-saving measures often took priority over retaining experienced staff, resulting in the loss of key personnel and institutional knowledge. Decisions were made without input from management or supervisors, leaving leadership uninformed and employees caught off guard by layoffs. Layoffs appeared to disproportionately affect seasoned staff in favor of retaining newer, lower-paid employees, leading to a loss of expertise. My department was eventually outsourced overseas as part of a cost-cutting initiative, further impacting team stability.
