Pros

1. Strong Mission of the Group 2. New strategies to reach the underserved population 3. The largest name in the spectacle industry

Cons

Plenty!! 1. The HR is pretty defined by supervisors - if the boss is happy, all is good..else HR is usually the shoulder to fire any bullet on the employee 2. Bad bad bad infrastructure - for an MNC (now even having the designer luxxotica merger coming in) - the infra especially in delhi office is poorer than a desi company! 3. So many silos in working - brands - mission - within mission - different verticals - sometimes it feels everyone is competing against each other 4. If you are from optometry background, you have no choice for any other org, but if you have experience in functions such as marketing, legal, corporate relations - please AVOID. 5. No investment in development of leaders - giving promotion basis the sales no. or targets is worthless if you can’t invest in their personnel development. 6. Zero L&D investment - just some online university stuff - the trainings are mostly held only for very senior managers - but still doesnt look they learn anything from it 7. Comp & Appraisal - the performance cycles will keep on changing and you’ll be always told that its for your own good 8. The mindset and mentality of the staff is very desi ~ maybe because of the industry. 9. Zero international travel opportunity - though the compny is HQ in Paris and Group Mission in Singapore. You’ll only find people from there coming to india. 10. Very poor organisational culture - avoid if you dont desperately need a job.

Pros

Fancy HQ Office in the heart of Bangalore, Stock Options

Cons

1. Very old school work culture - micro management, lauding late nights, disturbing in personal time is a practice, bias towards people from same background. 2. Zero Innovation - repeating same products with new names 3. Employee stay here only for stock options 4. Top Management like CEO/CFO keeps changing every 6 months 5. Work Life balance is a myth 6. HR team - outdated; lacks knowledge and is often unable to answer any query. No training or career development provided. Laws and policies - employees are asked to read and understand from HR portal. Employees face sudden tax cuts/LOP's with no information or explaination. 7. No bonus or hike since last 5 years and at the same time top management organizes events in luxurious hotels 8. Outdated technology and systems provided 9. Bias between HQ and branch offices. Few branches like Kolkata have broken ceiling. 10. Engagement activity is almost nil. No intervention in terms of culture, employee development or training. 11. Women employees are very little in number. Managers openly make sexist jokes and insult them. 12. Average age group working here is old 40-50 yrs. Young employees leave within 1 year of joining. 13. Unprofessional subsidiary entities

Pros

Global presence of the brand.

Cons

plenty... no motivation, no work life balance, no rewards for performers. if you are not in sales / marketing it is absolutely zero rewards or recognition. No respect for talent. Lot of internal politics. HR team don't have a say on anything. it is all based on your manager and department head. there is no career path, promotions, internal / inter company / department movement. even if you move it made sure to be a long waiting time and a complex procedure. when it comes to employee benefits everything is cost cutting. you cant call it as MNC even when their HQ is singapore and their HQ is Paris. everyone in the team is a manager, then who is working?
