Pros

Nothing anymore. Used to be good.

Cons

Everything about Finastra is a lie now. The HR job is just to add fake reviews to make sure the ratings don't fall. The truth is really bitter. stay away from Finastra. Check the news to know the truth. All the good reviews are fake.

Pros

Worked here for over 1.5 years , No particular thing I found which can be counted as a pro. Maybe one was that they gave free snacks in the evening , but since wfh has started , Not a single thing i can go ahead and say is a pro.

Cons

I will go over every problem this company has : When I joined as a fresher, they were offering a package of 8 LPA. A week before joining , I received an offer confirmation call in which they reduced my package to 7.25 LPA , without any proper explanation. Since I had no other offer, I had to accept. The variable component was reduced by more than 75% because of covid reasons and was not increased after that. Even when I left the organization, they took two and a half months to credit my final pay, and that too after I mailed them multiple times. World's 3rd best fintech's finance department is a piece of art. When you join as a fresher, you are put into a program called FINSTARTER. They talk about how they will integrate you into the work culture and all. It is just a ploy to not promote you for next 3 years. Yes you read that right , 3 years , you will not be promoted, No matter what rating you get , they will not promote you. Even after 1.5 years , My pay was not even close to 8 LPA they promised. Instead they will send you a book to read if you get high performer , which you won't be able to read because of the amount of work they give you to do. And despite not promoting people , they are very eager to fire FINSTARTERS who are not able to perform well enough. The management folks in this company, especially the retail banking section are probably the most incompetent bunch of managers I have ever witnessed. All they really care about is numbers. They don't care how you fix a defect, they just want the numbers on jira dashboard to go down. I can't believe they pay these managers 1-1.5 lac per month. And these managers have been here for a decent amount of time. I mean, why would they leave. They are quick to pass judgment on even a small mistake of the developer, always piling the work pressure. Just because of these people, finastra feels like a third-world government authority. Senior developers who have been here for more than 10 years are enjoying the best time of their life. They don't care and they won't ever help a FINSTARTER. They have been working on an old product for such a long time and they expect junior devs to figure everything out by themselves. Some of these senior devs are vocally abusive and just promote the already toxic work culture. Their internal product is absolutely pointless from your own personal development as it will not help you learn any other technology. They make developers do the machine setups without much help and expect them to handle everything by themselves. Remember they are still not going to promote you for the next 3 years. Work culture is beyond any help. It has been toxic since this place was called misys , and it has become worse. No reward for all the hard work, No appreciation. Especially if you are on associate level, they treat you badly. If you are stuck, they don't bother to help or will simply scold you for not understanding the product. I mean, how can you expect me to understand everything in one go, If I were that good, I wouldn't be working here in the first place. The HRs are not supportive at all. They don't care no matter how badly you are harassed by your seniors. Instead, they will smile and question your own commitment. Overall, a very bad experience. I only joined because I had no other option.

Pros

I did not encounter any pros in this company

Cons

1. There is zero value given to the Finance Department employees. 2. They need to understand how an organisation should function else they will end losing all their valuable manpower. 3. Never ever think of being a part of this Waste Finance Team company as the tenure can be the least of what you can expect in this company. So, do not waste your time and career on this organisation. 4. The teammates are treated with Low value ,They do harass the teammates,They only talk behind the persons and they only try to make gossip about others , and Manager listens to only favorite ones and never give value to hard working employees . 5. The appraisals are the least according to market standards and expect a zero appraisal if you are not in good terms with the management and only manager boot liquors get high increment in salary . 6. No required facility given to employees (cab, food, flexibility in work hours etc..,) 7. The management is known for politics. 8. No required training given to employees.
