Pros

In this VRM segment - Chenai, there are no pro's at all. I tried to find out the pro's everyday past 1 years but never found one.

Cons

The downsides of working in HDFC - VRM, Chennai. - Even though its a Fortune 500 company, the immediate head says " U guys have to thankful that there is a toilet and AC in this office" - 9 am to 9pm working culture - eventhough the actual working hours are from 9:30 am to 5:30pm WORK LIFE BALANCE concept is alien to these people. - If you join then you have to be mentally fit by leaving all you social life and famiy life behind. - just like going to a jail. - Everything is recorded - its just like a JAIL - CCTV cameras everywhere - NO mobiles allowed, NO pen/paper allowed everything is recorded and these people check everthing - INCENTIVES - this word is just a joke as even if you achieve the income target you still wont be able to get proper incentives as there are many breakups in scorecard which make your hardwork obsolete. - Monthly income tragets keep INCREASING every month. - No breaks in between, lunch break officially allocated is 1hr but they want us to finish lunch in 30min. - In the building there are about 800-900 employees and the lunch room can contain maximum of about 100 ppl. - no mobiles or pens or papers allowed inside. - only voice process - we cant even talk to our family members in matters of urgency. - Even if we do every call is recorded and these bosses taunt in front of the whole team about it. - The head is very sarcastic in everything. - Misselling is too rampant - People who donot have any IRDA or AMFI certifications are forced to sell insurance and mutual funds where we have to give false promises to customers - No leaves are given without whining by the supervisiors. - If we let them know that we are ill, these guys woud call everybody whom we know to check whether what we said is right, i.e are we actually ILL or did we go to a MOVIE with friends. - Pathetic - They have a word for it called POLICING - even our FUNDAMENTL RIGHTS are restricted such as FREEDOM of SPEECH - If we question their decision, they would single that person out and make his working time miserable. - Even if he fights back they will pull in the HR and management and make him sign his resignation letters. - destroying the persons future. - if some top managements ask the head as why his team is waiting till late in evening - he would allow us to go by 7pm. This would continue for a couple of days and then the same old thing starts again. - Be careful about hte BIG DAYS - nothing special but your workload would increase heavily
