Pros

If you're lucky you may get a project with work life balance. Job security is there.

Cons

1) 5 days work and in that 9 hour swipe in/out is mandatory or else your salary gets deducted ( yes, you read it right). 2) There HR system and policies are very old and they don't want to change it. 3) Appraisal is only single digit and there are no discussions. You will directly get it in salary. 4) Managers don't have any power here to provide you wfh or change your project. You may get project which is totally different than your skills. Only option is to leave the company. 5) HR and resource managers are useless. They will not even reply to you after joining. 6) Lots of weekend work in some teams and there are no Com-off policy. You work on weekend and have to show back on monday. 7) Managers who are here from 10-15 years keep asking for weekend work without hesitation. They haven't heard a word called 'Work life balance'. 8) Worst leave policies. 9) They may say they are product based company but their policies are worst than service based for tech employees

Pros

1. Perfect place to build survival skills, if you can survive this hell culture and environment, you can survive anywhere. 2. Only pro was job security, even that has disappeared in this recession wave.

Cons

1. Management is bad, there is no one responsive, especially HR and senior manager folks. Everyone pretends to be so busy, never understood what they are busy doing. There is a lot of gap between your reporting manager, they barely have any time for the employees in their own team. 2. No proper work description, work guideline, no proper product people or outline of what needs to be delivered. The task description keeps on changing, and there is no tangible output measure/deliverables defined. 3. Zero to none collabaration. No one to guide you, help you. Team leads and even senior folks are for namesake, becoz a single lead(lucky if you got one in your team) will be handling so many projects with hardly any idea on what's being built, and barely any domain knowledge around the same (probably not lead's fault comes down to worst management). 4. Cheap company policies they add various component into your fixed pay, like 35k premium for insurance of 5l coverage that too of their own company, frequent pay cuts, noone answerable for that, salary component will be removed(relocation benefit - hotel stay, PLI, bonus, medical tests done before joining, even your work accessory laptop, charger, its the employee responsibility) no hr or anyone answerable for that. (Perfect example of lalaji ki dukan).
