Pros

Can't think of and expect any Pros under current HR regime

Cons

1. Absolute and open favouritism towards close circle associates in HR and false perception based attitude towards others. 2. Encouragement to sychophancy and devaluing and discouraging all others. 3. Waste of talent - Associates hired from B schools are not given the roles they deserve for quite sometime and later even if they get the desired role, they are just expected to follow instructions and not use their minds. 4. No leading by example- We talk about Lodha Culture Code, but there is minimal collaboration within HR, no ethics followed. 5. Environment of fear, untrust, suffocation and hatred within HR 6. Groupism and politics by inner circle people. No trust in others, except for close circle associates. 7. No freedom to take your decision, micro management and your attitude and intent is judged always 8. Majority in HR team looking out for a job change because no self respecting person can work here

Pros

Pay, pay and pay alone. It pays pretty good salaries, big hikes in salary, has some talented people in Sales & marketing. Fair bit of learning and high growth opportunities. Premier B school grads beware, be careful before joining this company. It can be a career threatening move myself being from a top B school. I would suggest prospective employees not to be lured by high packages & fancy designations, talk to people inside the company before joining. Very few companies will be okay with hiring you after you stay 2-3 yrs in here. Real estate does have a high -ve perception & other players in this industry are equally unprofessional except for a few. Little professional learning apart from getting knowledge of the real estate sector. You do have fair amount of responsibility given to you at a fairly early stage.

Cons

Unprofessional culture, after all what can you expect of a company owned by a politician. Culture in S&M is worst, make you work like crazy and without planning. Plans are only on paper, you will find decisions changing every minute - decision based on pure hunch factor. Make you work more than half the weekends, coming here will surely result in a divorce if you are married. They have a habit of hiring freshers from premier campuses or from directly from other industries, lure them with fancy designations & packages and make them work like donkeys. There are students from IIM A, B, L, XLRI, ISB, etc. who are not able to shift to any decent company after working in here bcos of the -ve perception they have towards real estate. The marketing work that they do at Lodha has no depth to it unlike FMCGs, telecom, etc. Marketing in real estate is still at a very nascent stage & thus growth opportunity is there but doesn't make sense for fresh MBA recruits to join here just after college. Probably later in the career if you want some different industry work ex you can try your hand in here. They have a habit of handing product launches to you every 1 month - and my god how many launches do they have and how many times do they change their decision and without logic. You can get an idea of the culture in the place with the high attrition that they have especially in S&M where it is around 40-50%.

Pros

Brand name Wide portfolio of real estate Marquee projects Good marketing and sales team

Cons

Pathetic man management Poor HR policies just for the name sake More about perception management than performance New management sitting at the helm of affairs know NOTHING about real estate industry and it's trends. Strategically and intellectually handicapped business heads, 2nd class people who could not succeed in their industry, hired from BFSI, and applying same principles here. Major reason for the recent mass exodus of good talent from this company.
