I am on the M-Files Executive Team and started our US business over ten years ago. I currently run Global Marketing and I can help influence most anything about the company.
I'm sorry you feel this way, and everyone's opinion is valid and welcome, but fortunately, your experience is not common.
First, some of what you are describing is so much different than what we would generally hear from our team members; so, for what it is worth, I thought I'd offer my perspective. Maybe it's our Finnish origin heavily influencing us, but in all my career, I have never worked in a company that is as open and transparent as M-Files. As a result, it's hard to understand some of your comments. To be specific, in my experience, the amount of time and effort M-Files invests in specifically fostering culture and employee morale is unusual. We hold company events and parties, snacks and meals are regularly catered, we have generous vacation and PTO, provide exotic travel and activities for top performers, community and volunteer activities, employee satisfaction surveys and outreach, etc. That's not to say that some companies may do more, but M-Files does a lot.
Regarding little training and development, again, it's hard for me to understand your experience. The company invests heavily in training and individual development, both as it relates to specific professional skills and also to personal development. All employees are encouraged to think about it, participate in it, and are always welcome to ask for more of it if needed or desired. This includes a variety of levels of internal product and skills training, online and in-person, as well as company paid external training and professional development. We are committed to this, and this very topic is a specific area of our annual review process; no manager can just decide not do this for their team members.
I want to emphasize again, that my comments don't invalidate your experience, and I can't say I am directly involved with your team, or the training and skills development you have been offered, so please reach out to your direct manager or HR. If you feel less comfortable doing that, please reach out to me directly. I can assure you I will engage.
