Pros

Besides the perks, employee benefits, etc, MBRDI offers a lot of stakeholders and interesting people to meet. You are also continuously exposed to some of the best minds and technology in the automotive industry.

Cons

Nothing noteworthy or major yet.

Pros

Frequent trips to Germany/Japan/US (min once a year), Attitude of brand, U come and go without doing anything for a month straight and still u get paid with smiling face, Best company for women, Company infrastructure.

Cons

The one that tops in cons is the fake image u will see every colleague of u will carry about themselves.. A good engineer will be almost 1 out of 50. No exaggeration. But everyone has a attitude and feeling that they are the best and waiting for opportunity. Showing such feeling makes everyone to be recognized as one single group. The organization in engineering is broadly split into two groups Cars and Trucks... in them there is mech design, CAE, EE .. There is a huge politics between them. there is no free move of people where there is a demand. Cars is headed by a close confidant of MD where both are from Bosch. And they prefer to have Bosch in their circles. The trucks is headed by german. He gives no darn to what happens coz he will be replaced in every 3 years. They come here for a change of climate and in 3 years when they go back to germany they are 2 levels promoted .. Thats y they are here.. and the cars is headed by bosch ex. this politics is very dirty that the reverberations are felt at freshman level. Many here never worked with a factory setup and do not understand cars or automobiles.. and the management takes a easy call to say can you improve your auto skills so we can get project. ( get it .. there is a pull system to get project from germany or japan.. or begging system). so the rela project never comes , the skill is never acquired. The most notable con is the business model.. it is FTE based business model. The more the ppl are there in the company, the more the money the company makes. cos there is no real product that goes out of the premises. the management is more keen to get more ppl into it so for every head , for every hour, they will bill the counterparts in germany or japan or NA . this is the "business" spoken here. This equation if you simulate, it is easy for anyone to extrapolate everything in this organization. The managers want to have as many ppl as possible under them .. its like >20 u become manager, >40 u become E4 and u get a mercedes car, >80 u get into every stinky fight and send congratulation mails across the org. This proliferation will get u sub par standards of interviews and the unskilled ppl into ur team and so the whole process becomes a joke. Another scam that runs in this org is external employments.. E4s get into some kind of dealaing with some startups outside the org.. they ask for ppl to their team, those externals can walk into the org without a single interview and can work .. they are generally very bad in communication and really bad in skills.. this even includes tata elixi, kpit and so on.. But nevertheless there are real good engineers too but the ratio is now 1:200. E4s make side money from these scam. no one cares!. Most managers are stupid and cant even speak english properly! I think i have reserved the most needed topic to the last here.. The work quality. It is pathetic. most of them do testing and some bits and pieces of work that they hardly understand. especially anything with software and hardware. Hardware, this company has no clue !!! software they do what germans say. By far there are only one or two teams that works with real technology, every other teams are just maids for german teams.. This is the case for last 10+ years and im very very very very confident this will not change! .. Truth is german engineering in automobile is failing! falling! .. but their arrogance is not! ..new kids in the town are showing magic to this german grandpa.. google tesla.. but their arrogance is still not lost. there is a strong will for german teams to not listen to indian engineers and they think indians are not good in those. they will be happy untill u wipe their butts. and u will grow.. Skillfull managers are those who go to germany or japan and get more butts to wipe. 99% which they dont wanna do . pls dont imagine u can fall in that 1 %. there are enuf hungry dogs for that. salary is straight .. ur experience x 1.7~2.5 .. there are outliers.. but this is the normal one..

Adas BU = German toilet

Pros

Good place for the managers having skills like Microsoft office tools (ppt, excel sheets, Pi-charts,...), conducting meetings and involving in all day talking/debates (aka empty vessels). Managers are given with Mercedes C class car if they get 40+ reporters, so they work hard like politicians to increase their head count, but they come to office in share auto and cheap trains like corporation toilet cleaners.

Cons

Bad place for technical people because Germans offload their crap work here. This includes many dirty works like code formatting, fixing build warnings & testing. Germans also make sure development work are not given to India. Indian managers convince/cheat employees like you can learn technology by testing also. So do testing now later you will be the expert. Also due to project under estimation, pathetic planning, stupid meetings and attrition, employees are asked to stay late and work more in the name of "task force" which is against labour law.
