Pros

Good office Ambience, desk facilities

Cons

For IT Pune office, France management takes decision, controls and runs the show. India management is a puppet, has no power. Lot of Political games played and hopes given to employee with no results. Management Team has no work ethics, heavily influenced by vendor company Capgemini. Michelin follows what CapG management says and wants. No Job security. No proper calibration to measure performance. Michelin goes with what Vendor has to say about Michelin employees. Vendor evaluates and decides future for Michelin employees. Michelin hires people, throw them out soon as per Capgemini's word. No work life balance (you need to work 12 hrs almost every day just because Capgemini also does), very biased behavior, no recognition for leader roles. No personal and professional growth. When you exit, formalities are complicated and they don't pay the amount that belongs to you, nobody helps. Lot of blame game. Long interview rounds. No salary negotiation in HR round, you need to accept what they offer. Worst IT organization you will ever work with. Michelin has a brand value in manufacturing tyres but working for IT pune is like a nightmare.

Pros

This review is for MIPL, Kharadi 1. Nice Office Location 2. Organisation Hierarchy : (This can be a pro for those who are good at boot licking) You can get promoted irrespective of your years of experience and skills - (Even more qualified person is reporting to less qualified)

Cons

1. Vendor teams(CGI/CG) are driving Michelin employees even at Senior Level. Hence more opportunities to vendor team than Michelin employees. 2. Worst response from higher management in COVID pandemic - they started calling employees in middle of pandemic in Jun/July but allowed Vendors to continue WFH. - Forced unpaid leaves in month of June and July 3. Out dated tools and technologies ( Don't get fooled by niche technologies mentioned in JD). They are not at all leveraging Cloud/Big Data practices even in core Data team. 4. HR policies are not even well documented and employee friendly. ( I haven't noticed such gap in my previous experience) 5. HRs are from manufacturing industry background - they don't understand WFH concept at all 6. Most of the positive reviews are from HR team or their puppets 7. Appraisal Cycle is Jan - December but effective is from June. Same with variable, paid in June salary. ( You can think of loss of minimum 6 months of variable pay even you leave at any time) 8. Mandatory salary deduction for subsidised food - ( Make a note it's mandatory deduction even if you prefer not to eat canteen food)

Pros

Sends you for some time outside India (High Probability)

Cons

Lies to you are every point, Gives you a bond around 10 lacs+ and duration more than 7 years, HR is pathetic and irresponsible, India Head doesnt gives anything about the working conditions, You are made to quit if you don't sign the bond, HR is the worst in the world.
