Pros
Early in my career, I worked on projects that were both interesting and meaningful to the company. But honestly, what made it special were the people. My colleagues and teams were amazing, and beyond the work itself, it was the culture and collaboration that made me excited to show up every day.
Cons
Over time, I watched layoffs take out colleagues who were clearly making a real impact. Losing my boss, and then their boss, all within four months was tough. It was hard not to feel demoralized by it all. And then came the ultimate blow, another round of layoffs that swept away even more talented people. It was devastating.
