Pros

Company's focus is all about learning. Sapient gives unlimited access to udemy, O'Relliey, LinkedIn materials in order to learn as many skillset as possible. More salary as compared to service based.

Cons

Once you join the company, there is no surety of getting a project. You will be put on bench. You will have to go through rigorous client round of interviews. If you do not crack 3-4 interviews then there is every possibility of being sacked from company. Increments are unpredictable. In last 4 years, they have missed 2 years in terms of increment. As long as you are billable , you will be worshipped. The moment project gets finished and you are on bench then you will taste the real behaviour of people. Staffing partners are ineffective. Once you join the company, you will think to have good communication in the company. In contrast to that, you will be put in isolation waiting for client round meeting invitation. Staffing partners will never respond to you on emails or pings. Client is god in Sapient. If you get a good project then it is your luck otherwise be ready for overtime and rude behaviour from client. You can not even complaint in the organization as client is god and HR does not exist.

Pros

Free access to Udemy - you can keep upskilling yourself

Cons

Besides free Udemy access, everything is a con. No work-life balance. The management simply does not want or expect you to have it. You are expected to work so hard, not only for the client but also contribute in internal forums and do other internal work also, which is also for the client but you are not supposed to tell the client LOL No hikes in the last two years Promotion is extremely difficult - The first thing they will ask when you ask for promotion is - Have you given any spotlight sessions? All the hard work and value that you add to the client and to the team is not even considered. But isn't that what is running the company? - Not these stupid spotlight sessions which are complete show-offs and an extra burden to the employee. Another major disadvantage for Data Analytics people if you are in Bengaluru is that the big Capability politician who approves the promotions is sitting in Gurgaon and promotes only those who maybe butter her everyday. And just like Whatsapp university, the Capability has its own Teams university, which is quite annoying, irritating, distracting for the people who actually do the work. This university is also run mainly by some good for nothing management people - And they keep cluttering it with some unnecessary things to burden you.

Pros

Only Pros thing is that you will make some good friends while be on bench

Cons

1. Getting project in Sapient is very challenging because a lot of clients prefer other vendors instead of sapient. 2. You can be fired very easily in sapient. They will fire you within 6 months, if you are not on a project. 3. Till the time you have realized that you have made mistake in joining Sapient..You can not do anything instead of preparing for their clients. 4. There is no respect for any engineer. Managers will always be very rude to them. This will be cherry on top of the existing problems you are facing. 5. Never get lured by high paying offer that sapient gives to you. Do remember, Sapient is consulting company and will not pay from their pocket if you are not on project.
