Most unprofessional company I have ever seen
Pros
Cant list the as i was there for just 1 month
Cons
I had a very short stint with Telstra Pune and I would like to share the unprofessional behavior of India (Pune) management here. I just worked here for a month but because of some Personal and health issues (4 hours travel a day) I decided to leave the company in a month and the way they handled this was very very unprofessional. --The moment I put my resignation (properly giving notice period) I was called by the Manager and he said its very unprofessional to put a resignation mail without discussing with your manager. I know its better to talk to the manager first but in this case I know there is nothing he can do to solve my travel/health issues. - the very next moment he started shouting at me and there are the exact words spoken by a manager who called me unprofessional . " your resignation is accepted and we are releaving you right now. you can submit the laptop and GET OUT from here right now. i dont want to see you here" i maintained my calmness and said sorry if something bothered you so much for which he said. "just give you token and Latop and go. Do no dare to give this companies name for background verification as I will make sure you will get a Red mark and you are blacklisted from telstra . Now just go" -- I was shocked by this reaction since even I have around 10 years of exp and never expected such behavior from a super senior guy. -- I took this matter to the HR and she said I do not know what happened in the conference room but I will talk to the manager and I am damn sure nothing happened after that. --I left the company the very day and then after 2 days I got a call from the HR saying we are cutting you 14 days salary (during probation they have a 2 week notice which I was ready to give) since you didnt serve the notice period. I said I was ready to serve the notice but you guys decided to leave me on the same day . how can you cut my salary for that. She said there is a clause in the offer letter and we can do that . I felt cheap arguing on a 12 day salary stuff with the HR (even though for me its a big amount) and decided to leave the issue. --Even after putting a proper resignation mail and giving proper notice to the company they decided to humiliate me , cut my salary and threatening me on background verification and Blacklisting. Just one question , who behaved in a unprofessional way in this whole situation ?
