Pros

1. No Pros at all. 2. Some pros mentioned in other reviews are not really the pros. Eg - cookies along with tea, coffee. I don't deny it but Seriously? Does this help your career.

Cons

Its a long list and every word is true. If you don't believe, visit to a Temenos office location and ask anyone who is young (person should not be in higher management). 1. For freshers - do not join the company based on compensation. The work you will do can be done by a high school student which mostly include taking screenshots. 2. Technology used by them is absolutely nowhere used. To illustrate my point more clearly, people here do vbscripting which is so old that it does not have a for loop, whereas current organizations use python. 3. Development is done using jbasic. No one in the world use this technology anymore. 4. Senior management is so worse that they will put their work also on you. No supportive culture. Can be related to pure dictatorship. 5. Senior management talks so loudly on calls and disturb everyone as if this is their home. They have made discussion rooms but don't know how to use it. 6. Formal dresscode. This has already been mentioned in other reviews. 7. No growth or hikes. Managers gives 8.5 hours instead of 9hrs as a excuse to not give hikes. 8. Lots of internal exams which are of no use. If you clear, its fine. If not, again you will be looked down upon, no hikes, will be forced to leave. 9. Product is good in its domain, but it has become so complex that now they themselves are finding it difficult to manage. 10. They even keep a check for how long are you taking a break, how much you talk to others. 11. No proper canteen. Only sandwich, burger, maggi, juice are available that too of bad quality. 12. People are here from so many years, made it as their home and will eventually rule upon you. The reason is they cannot shift company because of their no technical knowledge. 13. Some senior managers during early times were hired from banks to manage teams of technical expertise. 14. The things they ask you in interview have nothing to do with what you will apply in your work, not even 0.00..01 %. They will give you training eventually. 15. Most of the people good in technical knowledge from cs background who get stuck here have left the company within 6 months. For eg, from 20 new hires only 3-4 people stay, rest leave eventually. 16. their ratings few months back was 1.8, somehow they managed to increase it. 17. No communication and transparency. Management in chennai takes the credit of work done and problems encountered by bangalore staff by sending the mails to UK office without keeping others in CC. 18. Worst HR. In bangalore office , HR refers to senior hr in chennai for everything. Here they are mostly interested in cake cuttings, munching, no real work. 19. To every bad review, HR will claim it as hoax claim, so many people can't be wrong. 20. Lot of work pressure, no work life balance. 21. They claim it to be the fastest growing in IT. I don't deny it but upon scrutinizing you will find that there is no competitor of them. Also it will grow further more, you can see the increase in shares. Higher management no longer offer shares to other employees, they keep all of them and eventually all the profit goes to them. 22. Lot of hiring is going on because their work is more of labor work. Also many people leave the company so they hire a lot from lower 2 tier colleges, with less knowledge so eventually they can't leave. 23. People from all the streams mechanical, bio, IT, CSE are hired and do same work. This says it all. They believe in the policy that, if someone has fingers, select him/her put into testing. They also hire from NITs but mechanical branch. I haven't seen anyone from top tier college and IT related field in the company. Many more reviews, but can't waste my time anymore on this company.

Pros

Good Product with nice breadth of functionality -Opportunity to learn Core banking skills Free tea/coffee & biscuits

Cons

Worse Dirty Politics(Not quoting incident),utter Regional favouritism,Pathetic hand in glove HR and line Manager bondings even in internal job postings .Movement can be exercised only if existing Manager permits Antipoaching agreement with Major Service companies- (You can n't join them).Difficult to come out of company with 3 months notice Period. Thieves in office_(No wonder if foreign currency/Per diem/ personal belongings gets stolen) Dishonest and unsecure bosses- take you as threat if you learn/grow ( Micro management), lack integrity, values and ethics, unsafe environment to work. No fair appraisals which are eyewash. I am live example having no proofs but God ...who knows that each written word here is true and meant to help others who read and take pains to dig before joining. Overall a very strongly held and close knit management - open your mouth for complain to higher Mgt and you are gone.

Pros

Good onsite, good exposure. Pros when you leave the company: 1. You would like everything in this world because by the time you leave the place you would have seen enough from Temenos.

Cons

I spent 3.5 years there. There were just handful of few very good managers and by the time I left they were asked to leave. I have massive list of cons, that i wish to list here. If I did not have money crunch I think I would have left the place much earlier, recession and poor financial background made me stay there for those tormenting 3.5 years, apparently the worst ever time of my life till date. I have divided this into two sub categories a.) Cons when you are in the company. b.) When you are not in the company. a.) Cons when you are in the Temenos: 1. One of the manager Used "F" word many times(I am not joking). I made a complaint to the HR and guess what. NOTHING HAPPENED. He became more furious and aggressive, and my life turned into a hell. 2. High political environment, your face value too much. You are judged by the amount of backbiting you do behind the back. If you speak certain language and you have your god father sitting in the company you would be picked up. 3. I could not meet deadlines and as a result my leaves were deducted to compensate the project deadlines. 4. I stayed in office many a times for more than 3 days at a stretch to meet the deadlines and guess what I was never given a cab or a place to sleep. I often sleep on floor to catch a nap so that i could work again for hours without sleep. 5. Management is not professional NOT AT ALL, I faced partiality many a times but could not speak. 6. There was a time when I felt that I should leave this place a do a teaching job which could probably give me better salary and life. 7. I regret every moment i spent there :(, I once thought to take these guys to labor court. They violate every labor law and human right. 8. Technology they use is extremely outdated no one in the world uses that. 9. No Job security. 10. Relationship between you and your management would be that of a Master and Slave. Given above are just a few cons, there are plenty that you would see if join them. b.) Cons when you leave Temenos and get your life/ back, 1. I used to get dreams of this place even after 6 months from the date I left Temenos. 2. You will have to do pranayam and yoga to forget everything. 3. You have to work hard to learn new skills because whatever you have learnt will be useless as that technology is not used anywhere in the world.
