Pros

One of the only big "tech" companies if you want to remain in Boston. CEO is very good.

Cons

1. Toxic Environment. People are hired and fired arbitrarily without a structured methodology or consultations, especially during firing decisions. Have seen analysts in our team get fired because they "didn't get along with their manager", and they weren't right for the team. It's disgusting. 2. Career progression is slow. Since decisions are highly centralised, there is rampant favouritism. 3. Toxic "Bro"-Culture. It's disgusting. It tries very hard to be a start-up, but it's really just a badly-run big corporate. I've been here a year and its been a pain. Have seen and friends & colleagues go through much worse at Wayfair. Don't do it.

Pros

I noticed a marked decline in the quality of hires during my time at the company.

Cons

Bosses Who Don’t Care: There’s too much favoritism in hiring, and management loves to stay in control and treat employees poorly. Managers don’t really care about their employees’ problems unless you’re the “yes boss” type. Too Much Stress: The pressure to meet tight deadlines and high expectations makes people feel overworked and stressed, with employees expected to work like machines. Poor Communication: There's a lack of clear communication, especially from leadership. Some leaders in India’s recruitment team don’t communicate well and even take credit for others’ hard work to impress higher-ups. No Work-Life Balance: Employees are overworked, with very little time left for their personal lives. No Appreciation: People feel their hard work goes unnoticed, and they don’t get the recognition they deserve. Unhealthy Competition: There’s too much competition between employees, which only makes things worse and creates a toxic work environment.
