This Impact Together Month, we invited over 20 young girls from our Enlight program (in partnership with Aide et Action) for the "Dreams Meeting Wisdom" session at our EPIP workspaces in Bengaluru. Our leaders, including Sarika Naik, Group Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer and Member of the Group Executive Committee, Capgemini, and Rajesh Dahale, Executive Vice President, APAC Platform Head, Capgemini, had the opportunity to provide valuable insights into our core values, while also sharing their inspirational stories and counsel on how the children could grow personally and professionally. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our strategic partnership with Barclays aimed at driving impact at scale through our shared commitment to #Skilling, #Sustainability, #DigitalInclusion, and #FinancialInclusion. Our journey kicked off with #Ideathon2024, themed “Tech for Sustainable and Inclusive Financial Futures”. After engaging with over 600 students, the top 25 teams were selected from colleges across Pune. The energy at the event was palpable as 650+ students, faculty, NGO partners, mentors, and leaders from Capgemini and Barclays joined both in-person and virtually to support and inspire the young talent. The key highlight of the event was the insightful panel discussion featuring Ashwin Yardi, CEO – India, Capgemini, and Praveen Kumar, CEO, Barclays BX India. The Reel vs Real Contest at Capgemini Mumbai, organized by the Center Heads Organization, was a standout event full of creativity and core values. In this engaging activity, over 170 participants came together in 28 teams to showcase their top video-making skills around themes like our 7 Values, Sustainability, and Back to Office Life, delivering ingenious and heartfelt messages. The top 9 finalists vividly captured the experience of returning to the office, a true demonstration of the joy of collaboration. The remainder teams highlighted sustainable living and how we help our employees adopt a greener lifestyle. Today, we inaugurated the Capgemini-SAP Digital Academy program, an initiative developed in collaboration with SAP Labs India, to upskill more than 8,000 marginalized youth across six cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. Over the next three years, this program endeavors to provide vocational and technical skills training in tech-related fields, preparing the next generations of professionals to seek out inclusive and equal employment opportunities in the vision to foster the nation's socio-economic growth. On August 13, 2024, we organized the graduation ceremony for the first batch of Digital Academy students from our Center of Excellence in Skilling in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. 27 young women have completed their AI-Data Science training under the AI for Skilling Capgemini Digital Academy program in collaboration with NasscomFoundation. At the event, the graduates were honored with a certificate of achievement that recognized the hard work and achievements of their learning journey. Our Hinjewadi colleagues, Stuti Jain, Karanveer Sidhu, and Gokul Sai triumphed in the Women’s Singles, Men’s Singles, and Open Doubles categories. Over at our Talwade campus, Komal Gurung, Pritesh Kaurani, Amol Mane, and Paresh Lathi emerged as the winners in the Women’s Singles, Men’s Singles, and Open Doubles categories.
