Congratulations to HCLTechie Pooja Gupta on winning the National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the “Shreshth Divyangjan” category. Pooja has been conferred this award today by Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the Hon’ble President of India, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) — an international observance promoted by the United Nations on December 3, every year. Pooja suffers from a rare blood disorder called Thalassemia major, but that hasn’t affected her unwavering spirit to help others afflicted with this debilitating disease. She has been tirelessly working towards raising awareness about this rare disorder and is also passionately engaged in related community work. Pooja’s commitment and determination are indeed admirable. She is a true inspiration to everyone at HCLTech.
