"I joined Meesho as an Assistant Category Manager (ACM) for Kurtis in 2019. Having worked in startups for most of my career, I was well-versed in the hustle, but at Meesho I wanted to solve big problems and work with folks who inspire me. Both of these goals have been fulfilled in the last couple of years. As the ACM and later CM for Kurtis, I was able to build a highly efficient team that constantly outperforms itself month after month. Currently we are not only the biggest online destination for kurtis in general in India but also specifically for maternity kurtis as well. Here are the three sure-shot guidelines that helped me thrive at Meesho - 1. Build a great team and empower them. 2. Ask the right questions and make data-driven solutions 3. Always remember to look at the bigger picture" - Niranjan Yadav (Category Manager, Business) All eyes are on Niranjan, whose exponential growth at Meesho has been unparalleled. He not only rose in ranks and helped Meesho become the biggest destination for kurtis in India, but he also set a course for all his teammates to experience a stee
"One of the most important competencies of a user researcher at Meesho is to be able to own, communicate and maintain consistency of user narratives across product, design and business. Here, we tackle 0 to 1 problems that are sometimes ambiguous in nature, but the solution-seeking process is collaborative, effective and filled with immense learning." - Khyati Shukla (User Research, Meesho) Pravalhika Injarapu (Sr. Product Designer, Meesho) sits down for a chat with Khyati to understand the nuances of how the design and research teams are structured at Meesho and what it means to be part of a highly functional team. After our frontline staff got vaccinated last week, today Meesho organised a vaccination drive for its employees in Bangalore. Meeshoites, along with their dependents (family and friends included) were able to get their first dose of vaccination today. At Meesho, we strive towards the wellbeing of each of our employees, and company-sponsored vaccination drives are one of the many steps we have taken to ensure the safety of our Meesho Community. Congratulations to Vidit Aatrey (CEO and Co-Founder, Meesho) and Sanjeev Barnwal (CTO and Co-Founder, Meesho) for making it to this year's prestigious Fortune India 40 Under 40 list. In the wake of this achievement, Vidit and Sanjeev sat down for an interview with editorji to discuss Meesho's journey and how the key players in Meesho's ecosystem - the consumers, the entrepreneurs, and the suppliers - realised the importance of doing business online during the lockdown, and how that birthed our current goal of helping 100 million small businesses to become successful online. Hear from them - https://lnkd.in/gYJAp3V
Meesho organised its third major vaccination drive past week at BGS National Public School, Bangalore. Many friends and family members of Meeshoites got their vaccination shots at the event, while many Meeshoites, who were unable to attend the previous drives also made use of this opportunity. Like the previous two drives, this one too saw healthy participation and was held with great care of social distancing. Currently, a sizable percentage of Meeshoites have received their first dose of the vaccine. Here's to a safe world and workspace!
"From as early as I can remember I wanted to work in the startup ecosystem and wanted to focus on management. While I did bring in a lot of expertise in operations and Profit and loss management (P&L management) when I came to Meesho, I was yet to understand the complexities and challenges of working on a large scale system. And, this is what I wanted to learn by joining Meesho." Naveenpal Singh (Senior Category Manager - Business) Head to the link below to read in detail about our star employee of the week Naveen's experience as part of the business team at Meesho.
