Our Nike Japan team went ALL OUT for Air Max Day — Nike’s annual celebration of the debut of our iconic visible Air technology — by partnering with creative studio CEKAI to create this incredible 3D billboard outside Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, with the Air Max 1 popping across the giant screen. The team cranked out the project in two months — whip-fast for 3D designs like these. But hey, that’s what happens when Nike creatives get together and jam on an ode to sneaker culture. “Nike Air is a celebration of creativity, imagination and innovation,” says Yoshio Kato, a Nike Japan Designer who worked on the project. “We wanted to convey those elements through a technology aligned to that groundbreaking spirit, and the great partnership with Kota Iguchi from CEKAI allowed us to bring that to life. The unique challenge was to create visuals that would spark excitement with sneaker lovers and passersby alike, and we’re thrilled at the amazed reactions we’ve seen so far from consumers online and gazing at the billboard.” Congrats, team! #AirMaxDay #AirMax #JustDoIt
The Nike Athlete Think Tank brings together a roster of elite women’s athletes and global catalysts, across different geographies, sport experiences and life stages. The goal: To better serve them. By listening to these changemakers, Nike will translate their world-class expertise into valuable insights that improve the experience of girls and women in sport. “We opened up the conversation to hear their insights and help inform where we can be better,” says Tanya Hvizdak, VP, Women’s Global Sports Marketing. “We specifically asked how they believe sport can move the world forward, how we can help break barriers to sport and how we can better leverage their input and ideas.” To learn more, check out the video below and visit https://news.nike.com/news/nike-athlete-think-tank.

“I believe women are inherent changemakers.” That's Jessica Johnston, Co-Chair of the Women of Nike & Friends Network, capturing this year’s theme for Women’s History Month — “We are the Movement” — which is a tribute to trailblazing women and allies around the world who influence culture, push boundaries and create a better tomorrow. At NIKE, Inc., you may brainstorm and work alongside the likes of two-time WNBA champion Olympia Scott. That's thanks to the Women in Nike program (WIN), which has introduced a third cohort of 16 athletes to Nike offices. The goal of the two-year WIN program is for retired or retiring WNBA players to gain corporate work experience across Nike, Converse, or the Jordan Brand — and the benefits are a two-way street. The athletes’ backgrounds provide an expertise in sport and a range of qualities that feed a successful corporate team. “In the WNBA, I was the new draft pick. I was the new mother returning to the court. I was the new trade, the new free agent, the captain, the champion,” says Scott, a two-time WNBA champion who now works as an Associate Product Line Manager in Men’s Apparel. “Being in so many different roles helped me understand how to be a good teammate, how to value each person because they bring a unique skillset, and most important, how to lead from any position to help the group.” Read more about the WIN program: https://news.nike.com/news/wnba-win-women-in-nike
In celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Nike Ability* Network created “I Speak,” a video represented in both verbal and non-verbal language, to empower our disability community and build empathy to the diversity of all individuals’ lived experiences. At Nike, we are committed to increasing disability representation across the company and ensuring our environments, products and programs are created with a lens on the disabled community throughout design, development, testing and marketing.
