#WellnessWednesday Some of our #PowerSchoolers participated in an assembly line packing up boxes of food and health/hygiene items to be distributed to families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was heartening to see a group of people immediately start working together to achieve the goal of making this holiday a little brighter for local families. One PowerSchooler says: "I feel very thankful that I work for a company that not only allows me to put food on my table, but which also encourages its employees to volunteer to make the lives of students in our communities better, even outside of school. I didn't even know Feed the Children existed, but now that I do, I think I'm going to become a regular at their events." #PowerSchool continues to be dedicated to giving back to our communities and involved in charitable organizations to promote community outreach. Here, we've begun a #NoteCardCampaign for Blessings in a Backpack where we asked PowerSchoolers to take a few minutes out of their day to create positive note cards with words of encouragement for children to take home over the weekend. These note cards will be attached to bags of food for children in need and will provide them with positive words going into the weekend. This week was the annual #PowerSchool 2019 "Hack to the Future" Hackathon! Employees from all functional groups and backgrounds were encouraged to participate. Our Hackathon provides a great opportunity to network with colleagues across all PowerSchool groups, work on exciting innovations and make our products and processes better! Employees spent the week working on teams and dedicating time towards developing these new ideas. Hackathon offers a product and productivity prize category. Product projects focus on innovative and creative ideas for product features or new products, while productivity projects are designed to increase efficiency as well as production output. This is a great way for our employees to #CreateGenius and come up with new ways to be creative and drive additional business value for the company. Today, we hosted the annual #PowerHealth Health and Wellness Fair across all centers of excellence! PowerSchoolers had the opportunity to interact with local health and wellness vendors to explore what is available in the local community. They got to ask questions and get guidance as vendors showcased their relevant services and/or products. During the employee's visit through the fair, they could complete a BINGO card and submit them at the end for a chance to win some awesome prizes. This is our way to encourage all PowerSchoolers to get motivated, meet the community and be empowered towards a healthier life.
