I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ServiceNow
Interview
Had an initial phone interview with a recruiter who's connected to my university's career center. The conversation went well and he paired me with a hiring manager a few days later.
I felt really good about the opportunity but then my optimism was steadily shattered as I conversed with the hiring manager. In the middle of our conversation, he asked me about what I had done in high school. I was beyond shocked- I'm close to the end of my college studies and could hardly recall what I did 4-5 years ago. The hiring manager also didn't provide any indication of next steps, timelines, etc. The whole call was just unlike anything I've ever experienced.
Following convention, I email both the initial recruiter and hiring manager to express my thanks for taking the time to speak with me- did not receive a response until a MONTH later notifying me that another candidate was selected. No feedback was provided about why they chose said candidate, just that the recruiter would be happy to pass my information along to another hiring manager. With this haphazard of a process, I don't think so!

Interview
It lasted for 30 minutes over Zoom. It was a group interview by two members in the department. They provided situational problems and see how you approached to solve them. The questions were very specific. You only knew the answers if you have experienced them before.

I didn't get a chance to give the first hackerrank test, such poor management by the HR department. I can't find a single reason to join the company as the hiring process was not even taken seriously.
Why would anyone sort out business analysts based on a hackerrank coding test.
