Pros

Flexible working hours Good food Some rare people are extremely competent

Cons

Most middle managers are quite biased and downright incompetent, which directly impacts the career growth and learning of their reports; To give you a personal anecdote, we recently prototyped a system for patenting. Once all was said and done, my manager adds a coworker's name to the patent document, saying, "She had worked on it previously". I had no access to any prior work from her and had to build the system from scratch. She then goes on to say, "If she had the time, she could have worked on it. So we're adding her name to it out of respect and solidarity". This is blatant favouritism. By that logic, I could go to the Olympic Games Committee and say, "If I had the time, I could have been an Olympic athlete. But I didn't, so out of respect and solidarity, give me a gold medal." Any resistance is met with the threat of a PIP (which is basically a way to phase you out of your job, as you train your replacement). Need I say more? They'll be all smiles and sweetness until you ask for what you deserve. Do not work here, if you're even remotely sensitive or ethical.

Pros

Best reason to work here .... if you are talking about Noida .. only reason I can thing about that its all about the North India. People have very less options here and out of that again I would say salary wise it's the best option.

Cons

Reasons for not to work here... there are several reasons.. 1) Policies are very old. Still Cadence has 3 month of Notice period. Can you believe guys .. 3 months.. in one way cadence are forcing you that once you join .. you can't leave this company. No other company has a 3 month notice period now a days... but it has.. :( 2) HR is worst.. they are biased .. not employee friendly ..they are manager driven. Even in case of issues with the manager, they will support Managers. Because they think if they have to stay in Cadence .. they have to support Manager. 3) Few groups are very very worst group. Working there is like making your life worst. So it's always advisable to choose group very wisely. I would say check the review first.

Pros

There is a fake image about Company's culture which exists on the paper, poster and mails only. You will be made to feel that you don't belong there. Discrimination, disrespectful behavior for voicing out your opinion or disagreement. The only way you can stay happy is by staying totally silent and bending the knee to whatever your manager or senior person says. Don't ever sound confident or show that you are skilled enough to handle a task(This hurts ego of few individuals and they will start poisoning the environment for you). See the pattern of who is giving High ratings(It's like Crocodiles & Sharks are telling small fishes come inside you are safe).

Cons

Toxic environment, Control freak managers, HRs poor/unprofessional behavior, no defined process for anything(everything is verbal). Every once in a while they self-proclaim to be a 'great place to work'(which is a belief with no facts and don't even dare to ask question), because the moment you do so or disagree based on the facts you will see the true picture. Every-time you apply for leaves they guilt trip you for this, even they will make you uncomfortable during sick leaves which shows their mental toxicity. Managers will use one-to-one meetings to take their frustration out specially if you are not acting like a puppet(don't ever disagree), bending the knee is a must. If you even dare to show that you are confident of your skill they will start speaking offensively and taunting you in front of the team. Some individuals are stuck here for years and have been made managers, perhaps mental stability & maturity(along with professionalism) are not the criteria to be a manager here and HRs are just rubber stamp, so don't expect anything from them, they are robots with the buttons: ("listen", "ignore", "forget"), they are in the company to facilitate events..nothing more. Company's zero tolerance to bullying, harassment, retaliation means they don't let it come out(specially on company's record/system), since it's never on the record so count will stay at zero. This bubble will burst, if anyone can hear the discussion between manager/HR with employee(One can reach out to me at my email-id(just google search "harassment at cadence design system") to hear such conversations or see their response/action screenshots ), I can show you evidence of how mental harassment is done in this company. It will be a huge embarrassment for the Organization(who claim to have a great work culture) and eye opener for top leadership, who are totally ignorant about this, trusting the corrupt minded HRs judgement. One can see & hear the words and tone of voice used by a manager in the company, a person who has been in the company for the years. And according to HR, such immature, unprofessional and unstable behavior is justified. If a person who has been in the company for years and do not value or respect the company's policy/culture then either the work culture is fake or few individuals are allowed to go beyond professional boundaries to violate company's policy. I never imagined I will ever write such thing about any of my employer but "Cadence Design System" is the worst company I have ever worked for, because my manger created a toxic(mentally stressful & disrespectful) environment for me and company policy allowed it.
