Pros

I’ve worked at a few top-tier consulting firms, including EY and Gartner, and Capco stands out for its culture. It strikes a great balance between rewarding hard work and respecting work-life balance, which is not always easy to find in this industry. What I appreciate most is the level of support and empowerment from leadership - particularly during periods of organizational change, I’ve felt trusted to take ownership of new capabilities and offerings that have been rewarding/directly impacted my career growth. Capco has also played a major role in shaping my leadership style, giving me opportunities to lead teams, develop others, and take on accountability for commercial outcomes. The skills I’ve built here (both professionally and as a leader) are highly transferable and will stick with me long-term.

Cons

May not be the best fit for those who prefer highly structured environments. Success at Capco requires a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.

Pros

Decent hike from the last drawn paycheck - (but here’s the catch !! ) The management along with HR and finance in lieu of the most twisted policies make sure what ever you have earned in last few months adds up to Capco’s revenue or goes to their parties fund. Ohh yes Parties - its a pro for you if you are one of those shameless guys who are not affected by the count these people keep on number of beers or how much food you had last night.

Cons

Usually I prefer not to badmouth the organisations I have served but honestly Capco is one of those trap which I want to save you from if you are able to reach this review. Because most of the top reviews are fake, written by bunch of most useless HR or employees with no moral values. So here’s the list of con tricks performed on you after you join Capco because of- - the fake reviews posted - are in deep financial crisis - haven’t connected with current or ex-employee over linkedin People who are joining capco because you have connect with the management or are from family need not read ahead. Scam 1: Recruitment team forces you to join early citing requirement is urgent. Usually they look for early joiners who will not have enough time to do a background check of company and fall prey for the fake reviews and decent hike. Scam 2: No projects (even the previous clients were fedup dealing with the gold diggers sitting at top calling themselves management but are actually deceivers) Around 70% of the people you see around will be on bench, without project preparing for job interviews. The new joiners during the initial week will be given fake assurance of tons of projects in pipeline. Scam 3: Certification and Training Recently the mastermind policy makers have come up with new ways of generating revenue for Capco. Looting employees by providing training and forcing them to do certification. As soon as you do a training you are bounded by a year contract which is kept secret untill you plan to resign after having enough of Capco. The day you submit your resignation you will receive a complete list of dues pending on your name. Don’t be surprised if it comes close to your 6 months salary. Scam 4: Onsite - employee retention cum torture program If you are one of those unlucky fellow who gets into project, you are threatened to travel onsite at the cost of your job eventually subscribing to atleast one more year of torture in Capco As soon as you travel- - The jobless HR team gets the work, they will keep updating your due register with be it your travel ticket, stay at onsite or per-diem. - you can not resign untill 6 months even if you travel for 15 days So eventually 15 days of onstite means you can not leave capco on your wish for minimum 9 months including notice period. If you are still not convinced and are planning to join Capco go through all wrongdoing employee goes through eventually resigning- - Arrogant Head/ Leadership Although people sitting on top and proliferating arrogance can’t be called management/leadership. These top people be it from management or HR in their small world think themselves as dictator and run company on their own terms. One day you have some policy and from next day a new policy is introduced just because one person thinks so. Literally you will get threats of firing for even a small mistake. Freshers are treated as if they have no say and have to folllow what ever comes to them. The entire management thinks they are doing charity by giving salary to employee. - Firing in the name of Cost Cutting People will never know when is their last day in Capco. One day you come to office with you lunch box packed but who knows you have to take it back and finish it at home. The uncalculative management does irrational calculations and hire people without knowing actual requirement increasing the bench strength, and then fire people on their will with no proper justification. Seriously if you want to grow with mental peace of mind avoid joining Capco for few extra bucks. Even you will be forced to keep your family second priority (cases like person though on paternity leave was called to office and on refusal was threatened to fire). HR are big time loosers and follow blindly what management tells. A real life puppets.

While we are pleased to read your comment regarding compensation, your review paints a picture of Capco that we just do not recognize. We are disappointed and concerned by your perceptions based on your experience of working at our firm. Some of your comments raise concerns which we will review internally and take action if required. However, we cannot agree with many of your comments, for example, Capco could not have experienced the growth and success that it has with the low levels of billability and high bench that you reference. As always, if any employees have concerns or suggestions they would like to share at any time, please reach out to your local HR representative or our Global HR Director, David Heffernan to discuss. We can assure you that any concerns or feedback will be listened to and taken seriously.

Pros

If you are deployed to good clients and you are able to perform you might feel good

Cons

This company does not have any ethics.Starting from interview they bluff.Senior leadership ( if at all they are called leader) from the beginning give you wrong Rosy picture.BTW they are body shopping factory. You will be given some other profile when you join. Please do not resign on the basis of their offer letter they might withdraw anytime. On top of that there notice period is 3 month from day 1.Senior folks stay away. You might not get the salary you have been promised. I will suggest please read reviews for interview experience tab as well.Though their HR write fake review of the company they are so dumb that they forget to write good interview experience. You can read both reviews together to get the right picture until they start playing with that part😋.

This feedback is disappointing and to at least some degree, unfair. Capco is a values-led organisation and we expect values-led behaviour from our Partners and leaders. We do not create an overly ‘rosy’ picture of the firm, nor do we expect people to work in a role that they have not accepted. To do so would not result in the committed and engaged workforce we require to deliver a high service to our clients. If we did engage in this activity, it would be reflected in abnormal levels of turnover as unhappy staff would have left our firm, which is not the case. Claims that we are a ’body shop’ are also unsubstantiated. Capco in India has had significant and consistent growth in the last 3 years and has expanded capabilities in several areas across Business and Digital Transformation working with Global and Regional Banks. Our strategy has been to invest heavily in the development, skills and capability of our people in the functional areas as well as new technologies. As a result we are able to offer a broader range of roles and engagements than we have ever had in the past. Under no circumstances do we make an offer and then rescind it during notice. A 3-month notice period is market standard and common in the industry. It is applied uniformly across all levels and employees. Of course employees are paid the rate that they are promised. If they were not we would lose staff and face legal challenge. We do not. As other feedback on this site testifies, we pay in advance of market at all levels for our best performers and our feedback on salary levels more generally is very strong. Finally we look to give potential recruits a good experience and introduction to Capco and in the vast majority of cases we succeed. That said, we acknowledge that we can always improve and one of the reasons we engage so readily with Glassdoor is our desire to obtain and respond to feedback. To post interviews ourselves would simply give a picture of the business we were unable to sustain and again contribute to high turnover. It would not be in line with our values-led culture nor would it make sense for our business and we do not do it. If you are genuinely looking to give us substantiated feedback so that we can improve our processes for others and when you have some proper suggestions for how we might do this, we would love to hear from you.
