IBM reviews about "benefit"

Process full of bureaucracy and approvals. Multiple tools used for the same stuff. Lack of communication & clarity outside of the team or with other parts of the business. Salary could have been better.

Very political and too may lay-offs

Onboarding process is poor. Offboarding process is even worse. Crucial information is hidden and difficult to find. HR hides behind AI assistant who doesn't understand much. Company doesn't provide actual work to apply the training you receive. The company collects charms for the sales bracelet (i.e., X% of IBMers have expertise in Cloud, AI, etc.) to impress clients. Those are numbers of people with training not real hands-on experience.

Working at IBM may come with certain challenges. Due to its large organizational structure, decision-making processes can sometimes be slower, and changes may take longer to implement. Employees may also experience complex internal processes and frequent organizational restructuring. In some roles, career progression can feel competitive, and adapting to evolving business priorities may require flexibility. Additionally, work pressure and expectations can increase during periods of transformation or major projects.

People sitting for years are not updating with new culture
