Pros

You will just get idea about Electric Vehicle architecture and that too because of REVA technologies. They couldn't add anything much over it.

Cons

After working for more than 3 years,I am writing this review so that people shouldn't repent their decision later though it is up to you to decide anyhow. 1.Their Advance Technology department is just for namesake. There is nothing called technical work happen there.People who are leading that department (GMs & all DGMs) are highly incompetent. They are just doing cheap politics, and promulgating a poor culture. It is an electric vehicle company technical department & you do not have a proper lab,not a single technicians (Can you believe that? Engineers do technicians job (soldering, logistic work,PR,PO,quotation & what not)mostly all the time and company is paying them for that),no equipment...endless list.Two-three years old EV startups are having actually 10-15 labs and good amount of technicians. Moreover each Department head just want to hire & keep the number of people working under them as high as possible so that they can RISE (Mahindra philosophy :P) up to the ladder. No one actually cares about the organization.Every morning, they wake up & come there to get fill their pockets & do some petty politics. They are hiring very incompetent managers under them so that they will a YES MAN & won't question their action and will do whatever they says. So,It is a very good organization for you if believe in sycophancy. Few good people actually came but they left immediately (including CTO). And above them comes CEO.He is a modern day dictator of this company & shouts at almost every other department heads in meetings & busy making his own name through paid written reviews or interviews (but nothing really happened). Every department heads & senior managers (right from plant to their corporate office) are just a YES MAN in front of him & does whatever he says without even questioning him back. They hire like anything & the reason being : a.You will find farewell cake cutting almost everyday. The attrition rate actually damn high.I wonder it would come in top 5 considering its attrition rate, after all who will try to work in such an environment. b.The reason I already said.DGMs want team as big as possible.Be it their power electronics, embedded,or drive train. They have hired 40-50 guys just to make it a so called in-house charger (Actually a dedicated team of max 5-6 person can do that much more efficiently). And they hire highly sub-standard people from any college or companies. So,just imagine what a mess that will create & how favoritism will prevail.Mallu DGMs will try to hire only mallu guys & will favour them,Tamil for tamil,Telugu for telugu etc.I do not understand why their parent company M&M did not understand that even after 9 years of their sub-optimal performance ( Maybe they have too much money). Not people, even government babus don't want to buy their cars. Their yearly performance system is again a big showcase. That whole system is there just for showcase.Every ratings & all get decided before that and that too by your department heads rather than reporting managers. No one actually reads or go through it whatever you write or upload in that portal or show your dissent for the rating given (Since everything gets decided beforehand). Even no one (including their great business HRs,I wonder who taught them human resources. They believe hiring any random guys only as their job) even reads & understand your reason of resignation what you put up at portal. They are like - Let him go,we will hire a new guy (Don't even have a common sense of its cost implication - 3 month notice period salary,3 month new employee adjustment salary, relocation, hotel, giving compensation as per market standard, referral bonus & whatever else). Even there is nothing called HR activities (though I personally don't care for that, but those small things even matters a lot). The one good thing is they get good freshers GETs (that is also due to M&M) from premier colleges such as NITs.But the way they mishandle them, they just leave after 1-2 years citing further study as reasons (though some actually go for that, but basically they were forced to take such decisions). They just don't understand their future value. And one of the worst thing is they pay equally to all GETs (Whether you are from IIT,NIT or some baba fakeerchand college). Even American MNCs pay as per college tier level. But one funny thing is all the managers & DGMs think they get great salary (they believe 7-8 lacs as huge salary) & envy them and will try to give them poor ratings.Such is the state of this sick organization.I personally know many bright fresher minds & was worried seeing their sorry state of affairs. Now coming to work life balance for what most of the people come on glassdoor.I will tell you there is nothing called work life balance there.Your manager will force you to stay till 9PM,10PM or even whole night in some cases. They will call you on weekends (Even though second Saturday is working). Timelines will be too stringent like 2 months for releasing design files for some sample (copy paste). I haven't covered manufacturing plant which is actually much more worse if you consider politics. But at least somewhat better if you consider work life balance (since factory gets open or closes sharply on time). And In the end while leaving, there will be a data leak protection check (like they have developed some state of art technology.Everything is freely available on Internet). This is just the overview of the culture prevails there, not detailed. If I write everything,It would take me a month.

Pros

ummm.. Let me think! There are no pros. The brand name is the only good thing which they have got. Another pro could be the free food. Other than that, this is the worst place to spend your summer internship at.

Cons

1. Management, rather the lack of it! 2. Worst leadership. 3. No professionalism. The clients are made to wait even when they have a scheduled appointment! Wow! 4. Forget incentives, it has been 2 months and we still haven't received the stipend. They only make excuses. 5. Lack of co-ordination between the dealership and the sales team of MTBL. 6. The managers are least bothered about selling their products. All they do is offload their targets and play the blame game when sales don't happen. 7. Managers complain about their colleagues in front of outsiders. Do they have any sense?!
