This isn't the start we wanted for you at Reckitt. We're so proud when someone joins our team; we welcome the fresh perspective and new skills they bring. We hope you shared your experience during the onboarding process, and we will share your feedback with the Talent Acquisition and Candidate Experience team.

Pros

Flexible working policy is good (flexible start times and locations) Easy to get compressed hours Company cares about employee equality (e.g. LGBT+, PoC)

Cons

Pay is absolutely awful. Supposedly "location based". Promotions not transparent. No development at lower levels. Budget for external training has been 0 the four years I have worked there.

Pros

Opportunities to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Supply — good role for someone who wants to understand how business decisions translate into financial impact. Fast-paced environment that helps you build strong analytical skills, especially with large datasets.

Cons

The pace and volume can be intense, especially during month-end close, budgeting, and re-forecast cycles. Team structures and priorities change frequently, which can create uncertainty around role clarity and long-term career path. Limited structured training and onboarding — a lot of learning happens by doing, which can work for some people but can feel overwhelming for others. Growth and internal mobility depend heavily on advocacy and timing, not just performance. Work-life balance varies significantly by team and manager.

Our ambition is to create a workplace where we are all empowered to perform at our best with opportunities to develop and grow. We know our fast-paced environment is energising but may also feel demanding at times. We hope you took the opportunity to share your experience in your exit interview so we can understand further.

Pros

Joined as an FTC and was made permanent with thanks to my persistent manager. In a global function, and geographically split team, I had lots of flexibility with where I could work, so was remote, which they are now tightening up on. I was thankful to have been sponsored through some external training to develop for a role I was interested in [which never actualised due to reorganisation]. See 'cons' re: re-org - Genuinely, before the re-org, and once the re-org is over, I'm sure Reckitt will become a great place to work again.

Cons

Your experience may depend on who your manager is, and the team dynamic. I had a few different managers and some were micro-manager-y, quite transactional, not invested in my growth [was an FTC at this time though], others are very supportive and helped me to grow. A huge problem I faced was banding - I found out I was being compensated below my banding which was disappointing. Again I had a persistent manager who campaigned for me however changes here were blocked by HR due to re-org. It seems that the managers do not have much visibility or control re: reward. Lastly, I was disappointed with how the re-org played out. Not just that I lost my job as a result, but it took so long [nearly a year] for the re-org to affect my function, and the communication and leadership was very poor, which meant we were running off anxiety for a year, which naturally affects team moral. It is very painful for your dept head to excitedly announce with a smile on their face that finally next week our team's re-org plans will be announced, followed by being told the next week that I'm being made redundant as a result of these plans.

Pros

They pay for school and offer some other really good benefits, like one month of paid time off.

Cons

Management needs proper training. Not everyone in management is unprofessional, but there are some who are. So depending on your department, you might have a poor experience working there.
