Meet Tamilarasan P, one of our accomplished LITMUS training program graduates based in Chennai. Over the past few months, he's been on an exciting journey, immersing himself in the intricate world of freight and logistics. When we asked Tamilarasan what drew him to IBS Software, his response was clear: "I wanted to be part of a product-based company and the fact that it's a multi-national entity was incredibly appealing." Reflecting on his experience with LITMUS, he highlights the invaluable technical skills he's acquired. Object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and the latest enterprise Java frameworks have become his trusted tools for coding. Sharing advice for fellow trainees, he suggests engaging with mentors and trainers, keeping that curious spark alive. And as for his future learning agenda? Tamilarasan reveals his plans to take cybersecurity courses.

Say hello to Santo Shaji who recently completed the IBS Software LITMUS training program, a transformative scheme for engineering graduates. Santo now works with the freight and logistics team in Chennai, India and tells us about his progress so far. "This is my first job; I was nervous at first. However, everyone around me has been helpful and welcoming." Reflecting on his experiences, Santo shares that one of his most significant 'a-ha' moments has been gaining an understanding of the technical complexities within the cargo industry. "I now realise there's so much more happening in the back end than I could have ever anticipated," he adds. And what is his advice to fellow trainees? "Show initiative and be proactive about learning - not only about the technology and domain but also your own skills and capabilities." Congratulations, Santo!
We chat with Sherin Susan Georgey, an engineering graduate, who joined in March 2023 on our three-month LITMUS (Learn IT froM US) training program. Sherin is now working as a Solution Engineer in our freight and logistics division in Chennai, India. What was a favourite aspect of LITMUS? There was a good balance between theory and hands-on experience. Our trainers were extremely knowledgeable and flexible, fostering open discussion to reflect the needs of the group. Tell us about an accomplishment you're proud of Completing LITMUS and making the transition from student to corporate professional. Coming from a non-computer science background, it was a challenging path - I had to dedicate myself to constant study and practice. What has pleasantly surprised you about your new role? That I have the space and freedom to share my ideas, without hesitation. Expressing yourself openly is one of the most common issues faced by freshers; at times, we may doubt whether our actions are correct and thus feel reluctant to speak up. The company's mentoring programs have supported and guided me through this process and helped me to become more confident. Congratulations, we wish you all the best, Sherin!
