Fitness fans of all ages braved the monsoon rains on Sunday, 3rd July to take part in Bonne Santé ('good health' in French), a fun run organised by Malayala Manorama in partnership with IBS Software. The run took place simultaneously in Calicut, Cochin and Trivandrum, Kerala, attracting nearly 1700 runners, including 135 IBS colleagues, in the 5 km and 10 km categories. VK Mathews, Founder and Chairman of IBS Software, welcomed the participants via video. Latha Nair and Ashok Rajan were present at the official start of the races in Trivandrum and Cochin, rallying the crowds. The day ended with medals and certificates for all participants plus cash prizes for the first three winners. Congratulations to all the enthusiastic runners and thanks to the organisers, cheerleaders and spectators for their spirited support!

AWS GAMEDAY | After a long two-year pause, our Learning and Development team was delighted to recently host a hybrid hackathon at our Cochin, Kerala offices. More than fifty colleagues from across the organisation gathered in-person to learn about AWS and security aspects of cloud computing via a fun, gamified fictitious case study. Participants utilised their best programming, DevOps and AWS configuration skills to explore and solve in real-time the fictional security vulnerabilities. The live leader board added to the thrill of the day, with teams being able to check on each other's progress. It was a great opportunity for colleagues to be reunited, collaborate in cross-divisional teams, and build knowledge. “The experiential event provides a far more effective learning outcome than self-learning or attending a workshop over a few days,” commented Ganesh Iyer, Global Head, L&D. “Following positive feedback, we’ll be organising more such events in future.” With thanks to everyone involved in organising and participating in GameDay!
